Your Great Name

Standard

Isn’t this book beautiful? Michael Neale wrote the book based on the song written by him and Krissy Nordhoff. The song, as sang by Natalie Grant, won a Dove Award earlier this year.

The book is broken into chapters that highlight the names of God and give biblical detail and stories from Michael’s life to further illustrate the name. It is beautiful inside and out.

While working with Michael, I realized that we are both Evangel University alumni! I thought it was cool how we were able to work together. Go, Crusaders!

Christmas Is Coming!

Standard

I was privileged to work with Carol Garborg to publish this really great book for families. I wish THE FAMILY BOOK OF ADVENT, 25 Stories & Activities to Celebrate the Meaning of Christmas was available when my kids were smaller. We would have gone through it every year, smiling our way through the daily readings and activities, singing the songs, and making the crafts. How fun. Maybe I’ll eventually be able to do that with grandkids. 🙂

The book released this morning. It is available online and at bookstores. Carol has done an amazing job. I heartily recommend it for families with small children. The crafts are manageable, the activities are thought provoking, the story Biblical. And throughout there are tips and support for parents. If you have a child between the ages of four and ten, don’t miss this! More info at christianbook.com

Hello God…It’s Me

Standard

My new journal is now available. But I need help spreading the word. Call your local bookstore, B&N Store, or Christian bookstore and ask for it. Barrage them with calls! Tell them you want to see it and feel it. Maybe they will get it stocked—if we keep trying. Or just order it online. It is a great gift for your girlfriends, daughters, or family members. Buy several to give as gifts all year long! Or just tell your friends about it and maybe they’ll tell another friend.
There are plenty of lines to write down your own conversation with God and your struggles and successes in letting your light shine.

Sample page from the journal:
Hello God…it’s me. No matter how I plan, plot, or pray, there are days that are just crazy. Lord, help me find peace even on those days. Quiet my world. Fill me with patience. Open the door to spiritual serenity, especially when peaceful circumstances are not an option. I will lean on You when the drama around me starts to pull me in. You are my peace. You are my hiding place. You are my rock.

Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually; You have given the commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.
Psalm 71:3 NKJV
